Question:
Sinus Infection due to Infected Teeth? I have had constant recurring sinus infections for about 6 months.
When I cough or sneeze due to mucous draining down my throat my forehead throbs and also the back of my neck or lower head. I have some capped front teeth that are bothering me also. Could this be related?
I've been on antibiotics from my MD for 3 weeks and now 1 week off the antibiotics it is returning again.

Answer:
It is certainly possible to have sinus infections mimic tooth problems and vice versa.
Sinus infections can be very difficult to treat and may require extended antibiotic use - beyond 3 weeks.
It is important to have your dentist get current x-rays of your teeth and perform tests on your front teeth to rule out their role in your problems.
If the dentist finds a treatable problem wonderful ...if not, you will need to pursue this with your M.D. and probably continue with an E.N.T. specialist.
