Question:
Implants - Sinus Pain: My mother had two dental implants 4 months ago and has suffered agonizing, almost daily sinus pain ever since.
It is worse when her allergies are acting up. The dentist "lifted" the sinus over one of the implants, but did not do it with the other because it went into a bone.
Is there any remedy for this? Will it get better? ....Visitor from OH
Answer:
I can't answer your question without seeing x-rays, cat scans and doing a thorough exam.
If there is a chronic sinusitus it needs to be dealt with via a medical doctor or ear nose and throat physician. If the sinus lift irritated the situation, the dentist that placed it will need to
be a part of treatment to insure the stability of the graft and implant.
I hope it will go away but without examination there are way too many variables for me to comment upon. I suggest you discuss all of this with your dentist. I wish you luck
