Question:
Root Canal - Sinus Problems: I had a root canal on my upper left tooth, third from the front,
around a year and a half ago. Since then I have had sinus problems and various colds.
I have been experiencing extreme pain along with numbness in the three front teeth. I have taken more than a half a dozen rounds of antibiotics in the last year. This weekend the pain traveled to my cheek bone area and the left side of my nose. My eyes have swollen up along with my face.
I am back on antibiotics and sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. What could this be? I am getting very concerned that no one will end this agony of mine. ....Visitor from TX
Answer:
I am sorry that you are having these problems.
Have you seen a dentist about the swelling? I think that would be in order. If you have and they can not find the problem then I would suggest getting another dentist to help you look at this as well.
If that is not successful then I would want to have a more specific imaging done to that area. I would suggest an Oral Surgeon to look at that with you.
I know these things can be frustrating. Hopefully the problem is that you just need another root canal treatment....
