FAQ:  Special Needs Dentistry

Question:
I have a Pacemaker, Defibrillator, and a Traumatic Brain Injury. I have 8 bad teeth. 2 are getting pulled soon. I can not find a Dentist who will fix my teeth.

Any suggestions on where to look? I really do not trust Rockford at all. I have had too many problems. I am from Wisconsin. Does my health make people worried or something? I also do not have insurance and I know that turns most people off. Any suggestions or anything will be greatly apprieciated. ...Visitor from IL

Answer:
You are probably having difficulty finding a dentist due to your health problems. You do indicate that you are having 2 teeth extracted. Is this being done by an oral surgeon? Not having insurance shouldn't be a problem with some dentists. Find a dental practice that offers financing options.
