FAQ:  Teeth Grinding

Mouthguard Videos

Question:
I am 46 yrs. old and gring my teeth excessively! I am also paralyzed in my left extremities. I am on SS disability w/Medicare (no dental coverage). My dentist says I need a $300 night guard to save my teeth from further damage.

I have tried sleeping with football type mouth guards in at night. I grind all day long not just while sleeping. Is there a more affordable alternative and can I wear a night guard all day? Is there a tupe thin enough that's not as noticeable? I am also guilty of using my teeth as a left hand to do many things(causing chipping!) ...Visitor from PA ...Visitor from PA

Answer:
A hard professionally made niteguard is essential for your condition. Cost can range from $300 - $350.
