Question:
I recently used an at home teeth whitening kit that apparently is dental grade. I trimmed back the teeth trays to the gumline as recommended but after only a couple of uses (and minimal time each go).
I was horrified to discover my gums have receded noticably!! I am so upset, please yell me - Will they grow back? Is this normal? and should I cease using the product? ...Visitor from Australia
Answer:
We have a video on the website that addresses the problems you are having.
Bleaching trays should ALWAYS be custom made from impressions. Stop using that product and see your dentist or periodontist to see what can be done to encourage healing and regrowth of the gum tissue. Hopefully you can regain what has been lost.
