Question:
Would it be safe to simply swish with hydrogen peroxide two or three times per day for like two weeks, to whiten the teeth? Would this work? Or maybe it would make sense to weaken the strength of the hygdrogen peroxide with the appropriate amount of water first? ...Cheryl in MD

Answer:
Cheryl, there is no published research on this topic and it is not a standard process that we recommend for any patient. It is totally up to you if you want to follow such a procedure.

You may be able to get some whitening results with the peroxide, but you may end up getting hair growth on your tongue from the peroxide. You may want to try baking soda, instead.
