Question:
Doxycycline causes tooth stains? I know that if children take doxycycline that it can cause stains on their teeth. I am 24 and have been taking doxycyline for several months, and recently, I have developed dark spots on my front teeth.
It's been awhile since I've been to a dentist, but I have excellent dental hygiene, and am usually told so by my dentist. Could the doxycycline be the cause of the stains on my teeth? ...Visitor from CA
Answer:
This is a very good question and I am not absolutely sure if you can have staining of fully developed adult teeth with this medication. I will do a bit of research and let you know later.
