Question:
Whitening of Bonded Teeth: Because my son has flourosis, his teeth were bonded about ten years ago.

Now they are yellowed, how can he get them whitened? ...Visitor from IL

Answer:
Polishing the bonded restorations will remove a very small amount material and may allow the initial color to show. The restorations are approaching the end of their life expectancy.

There is no way to lighten bonded restorations with whitening processes that work on natural tooth structures. Porcelain veneers are a longer term solution.
