Question:
Can't see top teeth: I am currently going through the braces stage for my under bite.

Surgery was an option for me at the start of my treatment but the orthodontist said she could fix my bite with out surgery.

I have nearly finished aligning my teeth and I am still unhappy with the result my teeth are sitting behind my top teeth. Now you can not see my top teeth very well because my top jaw is too small.

I did go see a maxillofacial surgeon before I started my treatment and he said that he would make my top jaw longer and pull it down so you could see more of my top teeth.

My parents are against the surgery and say it is not nessary because my teeth are in the correct position. I am still very unhappy though. ...Visitor from Australia

Answer:
From the sounds of it, in order to get the result you are looking for you would need to have the surgery.

Since you have already had the ortho portion you may still need to go through this for a short time after they reposition your jaw.
