Veneer Questions Ask The Dentist John Purpura Question:
I currently have veneers on eight of my top teeth. I am currently having problems with tmj and my question is: Can you put braces on over veneers or would they have to remove the veneers? My teeth are terrible underneath. ...Visitor from FL

    Answer:
You can place braces on veneers however there is danger of having the veneer break or not looking good after removing the braces. Orthodontic therapy is drastic for TMJ treatment.

You may want to try some of the more conservative treatments prior to moving the teeth for there is no guarantee that the pain will go away when the braces come off.
