Dental veneers have been available as a restorative treatment for many many years.

Veneer dentistry achieved much acclaim during the recent TV programs that included Extreme Makeovers. Enamel replacement, bulimia treatment, dental rehabilitation issues involving tooth resizing, reshaping, gum tissue contouring and recontouring (gum lifts) became the domain of premium veneer dentistry.

Early fabrications of no prep veneers proved to be bulky, unnatural in appearance and were quickly replaced by patients who could afford it.

Today's no prep or minimal prep veneers have different fabrication methods and now rival the original all porcelain veneers that typically require substantial tooth modification.

This video demonstrates how today's more advanced non prep veneers are placed using a protocol that assures no unusual gum tissue effects or alteration of the papilla... the thin layer of semi-transparent gum tissue that lines the gingival arch.
