Xerostomia Dry Mouth Ask The Dentist Edward Leventhal Question:
Dry mouth - implants: I have lost most of my teeth due to cavities caused by dry mouth.

If I get implants, will my dry mouth problem create implant problems now or down the road? ...Visitor from MD

Answer:
I do not think dry mouth will cause problems with implant supported crowns.

The crowns cannot be hurt by the dry mouth condition. The implants under the bone would not be affected.
