Question:
My crown came out and it is still in one piece can it just be put back in the same one?

Answer:
It is important that your crown be put back into place very soon so there are not changes in the positions of your teeth. The movement of the other teeth will not allow the crown to fit back into place.

A crown can usually be recemented back into place if the understructure that supports the crown (the tooth structure that was reduced so that the crown could be placed) has not been damaged and can still hold the crown.

The advances in dental cements has really helped the dental profession. There are cements available that can really hold a crown very well even if some of the crown preparation has been damaged. These are called resin cements. I hope your crown fits back into place so you do not have to go to the expense of having a new crown made.
