FAQ:  Gummy Smile

Video: Laser Gummy Smile Treatment

Question:
Large gums make teeth stick out: My gums are extraordinarily large.

Both my teeth AND gums stick out and is hard for me to close my mouth comfortably. When I close my mouth, my lips and the area around it stick out.

My teeth almost appear to look like a horses mouth to be a little honest. I don't like the way it looks, and I'd like to have a beautiful, almost gum free smile.

Is there a procedure I can do that will minimize this problem? ...Visitor from CA

Answer:
You need to be evaluated. How much gum shows, how much could be removed, are your teeth too far forward, are they too big ...etc?

Someone needs to see you in person and evaluate all of the areas of concern. Only then, can a treatment plan be developed.

Sometimes two or three treatment plans can be developed and you can choose depending on your time and financial ability. You need to see a dentist that has the ability to give you the choices.
