Question:
Esthetic treatment of upper gum: My age is 50+ and I like to see my teeth nice.
My upper gum is high and teeth are spaced. How can I get rid of these unwanted things? ....Visitor from Bangladesh
Answer:
Consult with a Periodontist to determine why your teeth are spaced and have gum tissue loss.
Gum tissue loss usually indicates bone loss... gum tissue "follows" the bone which disguises the loss of
bone.
These conditions you describe suggest you may have gum disease. If that is the case, then the usual treatment involves extracting the diseased teeth and removing all instances of diseased tissue.
Once removed, bone and tissue grafts can be used to restore lost bone. Combinations of implants and bridgework can then be used to create a new arch of teeth. Denture products may also offer possibilities of teeth replacement.
