Sedation FAQ Ask The Dentist James Sanderson Question:
I am being treated for depression with Prozac. I take Mirapex for restless leg syndrome and Celebrex for arthritis, Prevacid for GERD, Atenenol for blood pressure.

I need dental attention badly but become very stressed thinking about treatment. With the meds I take am I a candidate for sedation dentistry? ...Visitor from NJ

Answer:
You need to be evaluated in the dental office that uses sedation to determine how much sedation dentistry can help you. I would say that the drugs you are taking have an influence but you would need to be evaluated fully before any specific determination could be made.
