Question:
Dental fear and fillings: I have severe dental anxiety. As of right now I have 2 fillings that have fallen out. One is small and not a big deal...the other is on a molar and about half the top of my tooth.
My question is would it be acceptable to try to find a dentist that would put me out with IV sedation to get all of my dental work done or try to do it in many visits?
I have to pre med myself (my dr or dentist perscribes me something) before just a cleaning or for a dentist to get anywhere near my mouth. I know I need to go and I have let this go on too long (been missing this large filling for a few months at least, very painfull). ...Visitor from ME
Answer:
Find a full service sedation dentist who has a wide array of sedation choices that will enable you to get the treatment you need and want with the "convenience" that you desire.
Most sedation dentists can help the severest of dental phobics feel very relaxed. Your goal of having treatment completed in one session should be easy to accomplish.
