I have an underbite and I'm turning 16 soon. I would like to know if surgery is my only option and if its possible to just try the treatment with the headgear and see if it works. Marianna in NY
Answer:
Marianna, it depends on how severe your underbite is. Sometimes it can be fixed by headgear, and sometimes it can't. Please check with your orthodontist, or even get second and third opinions and you'll have a better idea
